At Socci Art Consultancy, I support heritage organisations and private clients with curatorial work, bespoke framing, collections care, research and photography. My approach is collaborative, clear and shaped by years of museum and gallery experience.

    Curatorial

    Exhibition Curation: From start to finish. Including brief development, research, object selection, exhibition design, interpretation development and writing as well as installation.

    Display and Exhibition Design: Creating scaled 3D layouts of object displays and spaces using SketchUp software.

    Artwork Installation: Advice on framing, installation, and display of artworks.

    Object Photography: Delivering both high-quality, detailed images or record shots to suit all your needs.

    Photo Editing: Utilising Photoshop for professional photo editing.

    Collections Care and Management

    Cataloguing: Creating comprehensive inventories with images, key information, and measurements using Excel or your Museum Collections Management software.

    Collections Care: Providing advice and training on condition reporting, object handling, conservation cleaning, environmental monitoring, and storage.

    Packing: Wrapping and labelling objects and artworks for safe storage or transportation.

    Research

    In-Depth Research: Detailed research into specific artists or art collections or social history collections, including provenance and institutional histories.

    Family & Community Histories: Exploration of local stories and artist family narratives, often linked to heritage sites or collections.

    Research Skills Training: Tailored training in research methods, tools, and approaches—well suited to volunteers, staff teams, or community group.

  • Bespoke Picture Framing

    Tailored design: Consultation, hand‑cut mounts and a selection of timber mouldings

    Material choices: High‑quality standard or conservation materials with optional UV‑protective glazing

    Professional finishing: Secure handling and fittings suitable for home or exhibition display
